Kintal Collective

Helping purpose-driven teams and founders evolve how they work

I support people building purpose-driven work, from first ideas to growing organisations. During periods of growth, change, and complexity, I design clear structures, healthy collaboration, and systems that support the work — not the other way around.

How I help

I help shape ways of working that can grow and adapt. I have a strong ability to see patterns and points of friction in how work actually flows — and I work with people to examine and reshape those patterns, rather than delivering solutions from the outside.

This results in:

  • Reduced operational friction and decision fatigue
  • Clear workflows, roles, and responsibilities
  • Effective remote and hybrid collaboration
  • Tools aligned with real work
  • Foundations for sustainable growth and
    investor-readiness

How we work together

We start with a 30-minute exploratory conversation.

  • To clarify what’s stuck and what matters most right now
  • If there’s a mutual yes, I’ll propose clear next steps

Next steps can range from a short, focused intervention to deeper ongoing support — depending on what’s needed.

About Kintal Collective

My name is Vera Baaij. I’m drawn to work that contributes to positive social and environmental impact. I believe that how we work shapes what we are able to create. When people are trusted, given clarity, and supported by structures that make sense, intrinsic motivation surfaces.

For over a decade, I’ve worked with startups and non-profits across different countries and stages of growth. I have a strong ability to see patterns in how work unfolds — in communication, decision-making, and accountability — and to translate those insights into clearer ways of working.

I work from a grounded third perspective: close enough to understand daily reality, and removed enough to see what’s getting in the way. With a long-standing focus on remote and hybrid teams, I’ve seen that they flourish when given clarity, ownership, and trust.

At the core of my work is the belief that we can be kind, authentic, and ambitious at the same time — also in professional contexts. I see genuine connection, mutual respect, and psychological safety not as “soft” values, but as essential conditions for people to take responsibility and do meaningful work together.

I’m drawn to non-hierarchical ways of organising that give people real responsibility within clear boundaries. Alongside my work, I live in an ecovillage community and raise two children — a daily practice of collaboration that keeps my work grounded and human.

Kintal Collective is my way of bringing all of this together: hands-on work with teams and founders today, and a growing platform over time to make thoughtful support around ways of working more accessible and connected.
